Bread roll is all time favorite Indian dish. It is a very heavy dish but
most yummy and it has many variations in terms of stuffing.
Preparation time: 10-15 min Cooking time: 10-15 mins
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
• Potatoes 4 large
• Bread 10 slices
• Red Chillie Powder 1 tsp
• Amchur powder 1/4 tsp
• Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
• Cut coriander leaves 1 tbsp
• Salt 1 teaspoon
• Oil for frying
Method:
Step 1: Boil the potaoes peel, mash coarsely and keep aside
Step 2: Add chillie powder, amchur, salt, garam masala powder and the coriander leaves and mix well
Step 3: Form into 10 equal sized oval balls and keep aside
Step 4: Cut the corners of the bread slices
Step 5: Take water in a large plate and add a little salt to it. Now dip each
slice of bread lightly in the water and squeeze out the excess water holding the bread slice flat between your palms
Step 6: Place one oval ball of the prepared potato on the slice and tightly wrap. Continue and finish all the 10 bread slices. Let it rest for about 15-20 minutes
Step 7: Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry till golden brown
To serve
Place the Bread rolls on a plate and serve hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup
