A
very easy to make and tasty subzi!! A favourite in our family... the
yummmy Palak Paneer. Very tasty and with all the goodness of Palak. Here
is a simple way to make it.
Ingredients:
• Spinach 350 grams
• Paneer 200 grams
• Onion 2
• Green chillies 3-4
• Butter 2 tbsp
• Garam Masala Powder 1/2 tsp
• Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
• Lime Juice 1 tsp
• Salt to taste
Method:
Step 1: Wash and cut the Palak leaves taking out the stems.
Step 2: In a pan put in the palak leaves, chopped green chillies and jeera. Cook on a high flame till just cooked. Watch to see that the color of the Palak does not turn dark green. Be careful not to over cook the Palak. It should just cook and remain light green. Allow to cool.
Step 3: Chop the onions finely. Cut the Panner into medium sized cubes.
Step 4: Grind the boiled palak into a coarse paste.
Step 5: Heat butter in a frying pan. Add chopped onions and fry until they turn pink. Add garam masala powder and mix well.
Step 6: Now add the ground palak mixture and mix well.
Step 7: Add the cur Paneer cubes and salt. Let it simmer on a low flame for a few minutes.
Step 8: Switch off the flame, transfer the Palak Paneer to a serving dish and add the lemon juice. Garnish with some grated paneer and a dash of butter.
To Serve:
Serve hot with paratas.
